Finally, you managed to buy your own house. And it has everything you want and need: a white fence; green, beautiful grass in front and back of the house that you cannot wait to mow with your new lawn mower. The front porch is so big and you dream of furnishing it soon with a rocking chair and a lemonade table, for when the hot sunny days of summer arrive.
Everything appears to be great, but there is one big problem you have to deal with: how can you arrange all that space to suit you best and what are the most important this you have to keep in mind? Well, we here at Landscape Design Gardening can help you do just that.
First of all, a big step to your action being a successful one, is to develop a great plan. Planning and sticking to that plan should be a first priority for anyone involved in landscape design gardening. You will want to know from the beginning what materials you need and even purchase them before actually starting you’re landscaping. You would never enjoy being half way through your action and running out of materials.
Second of all, you will have to fully understand that the size of that land is also an important factor. When you have a large surface that you want to work on, there are a lot more possibilities than in the case of a smaller surface. The type of soil of that surface can also influence the things you can or can not do with it. Your plants will not grow if the soil is too rocky, your fountain will founder if the ground is to sandy or you will not be able to install a pool if the ground is not flat enough.
You have now made a plan and found out what may or may not be done on that land. Now it is time to actually design that surface. One can opt for any type of shape after which you could design your garden: a square shape, a circle, an oval or, why not, a combination of all of them.
After figuring all of those things out, we come to the last important thing to keep in mind: the position of the plants. Some prefer to place them randomly, some like to have a specific position for every single one of them.
No matter what your case is, it is very important not to neglect this aspect, because it might change the outcome of your garden.
